Top designer working on new bag collection

People who love designer bags may be familiar with the name Michael Teperson, an Israeli designer whose products have been seen in the clutches of supermodels and stars alike.

The designer, a favourite of Sarah Jessica Parker and Elle Macpherson, is currently working on a new collection, according to Vogue, which will be good news for collectors who can't get enough of his distinctive styles.

Teperson told Vogue: "I am busy preparing for the next collection which means all is very hectic - but great."

But for handbags enthusiasts who simply can't wait, the designer has recommended getting hold of the Ice Box, a long crystal-encrusted shiny clutch bag that will add glamour to any outfit, according to the fashion magazine.

"[It] definitely has the wow effect," he commented.

The spring/summer 2008 season will be noted for its presence of Michael Teperson bags, as he was selected by Swarovski to design a bag for its Crystal Rocks show, taking place at Paris Fashion Week.

People unable to get to Paris may be able to comfort themselves by taking a trip to Harrods in London, where his bags are available in a range of unique colours and materials.
