Sienna expresses love for "granny shoes"

Style icon Sienna Miller has revealed her current tastes in ladies shoes - and her admissions may surprise many of her fans.

The actress told the Manchester Evening News that her favourite footwear is the kind that is more likely to be seen in a quiet English village than on the red carpets of Hollywood.

While filming The Edge of Love - the movie focusing on the life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas - Miller was made to wear practical countryside clobber. Not that she was complaining.

"I loved wearing the wellington boots and cardies and those really granny shoes," she exclaimed.

Miller also went on to say that she loved "being bundled up in […] big jumpers" while on location, as well as "any of those fabulous wartime fashions" the period piece required her to put on.

Nevertheless, the English star - who was once the girlfriend of Jude Law but has more recently been linked with Welsh actor Rhys Ifans - was looking her glamorous best at the premiere of the movie.
