Pregnant Christina 'feared for her designer shoes'

Pregnant Christina 'feared for her designer shoes' Christina Aguilera has revealed that she was afraid she would never wear her designer shoes again after gaining two sizes during pregnancy.

Aguilera, who gave birth to her son, Max, in January this year, told the August issue of Glamour magazine that her body - including her feet - changed a great deal while she was expecting.

"My feet grew from a size 5.5 to a size seven in flats. Thank God they [went back to normal]. I would have been so depressed if I had to get rid of my shoe collection," she remarked.

Aguilera also spoke of her return to the studio to record the follow-up to her 2006 album Back To Basics, telling the magazine that the birth of her son has prompted her to deal with more complex issues within her music.

The Ain't No Other Man singer is renowned for her prominent singing style, strong vocals and powerful voice and is said to have a four-octave vocal range.

She is also no stranger to controversy - after the release of her 2002 album, Stripped, she took part in photoshoots for magazines, many of these photographs featuring her nude or semi-nude.

It was during this time Aguilera referred to herself as "Xtina," even getting a tattoo of her nickname on the back of her neck and several piercings.

However, she has also become one of the most successful recording artists of the decade, racking up sales of more than 37 million albums worldwide.
