Paris Hilton launches new shoes line

Paris Hilton launched a new line of shoes yesterday at Macy's in the US, it has emerged.

The new range of ladies' shoes range from strappy sandals to evening shoes like high heels and stilettos, the daughter of hotel giant billionaire Rick Hilton, commented on Fox News.

In an interview with Greta Van Susteren on the show On the Record, Ms Hilton spoke of her businesses, which include clothing, fragrances, handbags, music and films.

When asked about her involvement in the design of the new range, the star of the Simple Life said: "I have everything to do with it…And it's really exciting.

"I love shoes just like every girl does. But I wanted to make a line which is more affordable and still the high fashion."

In addition, Ms Hilton stated that she and her design team produce 25 different styles of shoe that are comfortable and affordable, ranging from $59 (£30) to $195 (£99).

The entrepreneur, 26, commented that she goes over the designs to ensure that she will wear them herself, stating that many celebrities do not wear the things they design.

Looking to the future, Ms Hilton said that she hoped to get into real estate and open her own hotels and clubs.

The licensing deal for the shoes line was signed in August 2007 with the Antebi Footwear Group.
