70s shoes hot on NY catwalks

70s shoes hot on NY catwalks When it comes to fashion, everybody is talking about what is hot on the catwalks of New York's Fashion Week at the moment.

Ladies shoes are one of the hottest topics of conversations this week, as the 1970s made a comeback in both style and price, Reuters reports.

One designer brand Payless ShoeSource supplied the footwear for three shows, meaning that 70s styles may be this year's to-die-for look.

The cheap and cheerful versions of retro shoes look just like those of other designers that may cost nearly ten times as much, according to Reuters, showing that women's shoes don't have to be pricey to be fashionable.

Payless has a vision to "democratise fashion" by sourcing new young talent and providing great shoes at affordable prices.

It may be easy to imitate the 70s look by getting some silver or gold evening shoes.

Skinny heals, platforms and strappy sandals are tipped to make a big appearance this year.

Women love their shoes and new research has recently proven this well-known fact. The average woman owns 14 pairs of shoes, which doubles the amount that men own, according to Legal & General, The York Press reports.
