Zeta Jones 'told off about shoes'

Catherine Zeta Jones has revealed that designer shoes are something of a bone of contention at her house.

The 38-year-old actress told Cosmopolitan magazine that she is often told off by her husband, 63-year-old Michael Douglas, because of her shoe collection.

She said: "I have so many pairs of shoes - it's ridiculous. Michael often takes me into my closet and says, 'Could you explain to me why you have all these shoes?'

"It's because I travel a lot - and I have certain outfits that only go with certain shoes. That's my excuse anyway! I love Christian Louboutins."

However, although her shoes may earn her a ticking-off occasionally, the Mask of Zorro star told the magazine that she is still crazy about Douglas, adding: "I couldn't imagine waking up without him by my side."

Zeta Jones is not the only celebrity to be a little obsessive when it comes to shoes - singer Celine Dion revealed in May that she owns between two and three thousand pairs of designer shoes.

Douglas and Zeta Jones were married at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on 18 November 2000. A traditional Welsh choir sang at the wedding.

Her Welsh gold wedding ring includes a Celtic motif and was purchased in the Welsh town of Aberystwyth.
