Victoria tackles shopping trip with vertiginous heels

Victoria Beckham turned heads in an LA shopping mall this week when she was pictured in possibly her highest heels yet.

The former Spice Girl sported an orange 60s-style minidress and a handbag that looked big enough to accommodate her, as well as grey platforms with skyscraping, surprisingly thin heels.

Although most mothers of three would probably opt for a more practical choice of footwear when out shopping, Posh negotiated the slippery floors well - although she wisely opted to take the lift upstairs rather than the escalator.

She took her three boys to a party at the Build-a-Bear workshop, where one emerged, appropriately, with a teddy dressed in a football strip.

Victoria has already hit the headlines through her choice of shoes this month - at a perfume launch in New York, she wore a pair of thigh-high latex boots that had no heel whatsoever.

Onlookers speculated as to how she was able to walk in the Antonio Beradi creations and the boots ended up attracting more attention than the fragrances.

Posh is famous for her love of vertiginous heels and once famously remarked she is unable to concentrate in flat shoes, although she did say a new pair of trainers bought by Gordon Ramsay may persuade her to change her mind.
