Simpson quashes wedding speculation

Jessica Simpson has spoken to a US chat show about rumours that she may be poised to marry her beau Tony Romo.

The singer, who recently branched from pop music to a more country-style sound, said that she has no desire to hurry into a wedding with the American football player.

"We've been together for seven to almost eight months now. I don't really know about wedding bells - I still love him, and I'm still with him, so that's a good sign," she told the View's Barbara Walters.

Simpson, 27, could be unlikely to rush into any nuptials in the near future after a very public break-up with her former husband Nick Lachey, with whom she appeared in reality show Newlyweds.

However, her sister Ashlee recently tied the knot with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and is now expecting his baby.

Jessica told the View that she was wearing the pregnancy well.

"Ashlee sent me a picture of her belly recently. She's popping, it's so cute!", she said.

If Jessica does decide to marry, she may be interested to hear the results of a recent survey by Alliance and Leicester, which found the most prized must-have for the bride and groom is good weather on the big day - although this is likely to be less of a risk for the LA-based star.
