SATC character 'will die'

SATC character 'will die' Sex and the City fans are likely to be in a speculatory frenzy today (April 18th), following a slip of the tongue by one of its stars, Cynthia Nixon.

In an interview for the Creation Nation comedy show with Billy Eichner, the 42-year-old actress, who plays career girl Miranda Hobbs in the hit television series, said that one of the main characters will die in the forthcoming movie.

She would not say which character is about to meet their demise, but revealed that it would "devastate" Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw.

"There's a loss that happens that's pretty tough. Something significant happens to Carrie and it really forces her to ask questions that you have to ask about yourself," she said.

Rumours are now rife as fans try to guess the storyline's outcome, with some saying it could be Charlotte York-Goldenblatt, played by Kristin Davis, who falls pregnant but may suffer complications.

Others believe it may be Carrie's long-term love interest, Mr Big, who has heart surgery, it has been reported.

The eagerly-anticipated film will be released in May. The Internet Movie Database reports that Victoria Beckham was offered a cameo role in a similar vein as Geri Halliwell, but had to turn it down due to conflicts with the Spice Girls' tour dates.
