New shoes on apprentice's shopping list

New shoes on apprentice's shopping list Winner of The Apprentice Lee McQueen has revealed that his first pay cheque will be used to buy a "new pair of shoes for the Mrs".

The 30-year-old recruitment manager, who has been with his girlfriend Nicola for nine years, added that he was thinking of buying himself a Porsche.

He added: "My mum's got no central heating in her flat. I bought it, so I think it's only right to help her with that side of things."

McQueen beat opponent Claire Young in the final of the show despite being caught out lying on his CV in the interview stage of the competition.

He wins a £100,000-a-year position with Sir Alan Sugar's business Amshold and will start work on launching a digital advertising product - after purchasing a pair of ladies shoes, that is.

This was the fourth series of the award-winning show and the contestants who did not make it included a bank manager, an international car trader, a barrister, an artist and a former championship show jumper.
