Girls Aloud's Nicola hits back at 'bully' Moyles

Girls Aloud's Nicola hits back at 'bully' Moyles Nicola Roberts, one-fifth of pop act Girls Aloud, has hit back at controversial Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles for what she claims is a six-year bullying campaign.

The 22-year-old singer told Heat magazine that Moyles has relentlessly picked on her because of her pale skin and ginger hair and said that his behaviour is unacceptable.

Moyles recently issued a fresh tirade at Roberts as she prepared to do a live set for part of Radio 1's Live Lounge tour, saying: "What's with the long face, horsey chops? Give us a smile."

He has also previously announced that he finds all of Girls Aloud attractive "except the ginger one".

Breaking her previous silence on the subject, Roberts stated he should stop the comments, as they could cause other people to be bullied.

"His obsession with me needs to stop. I don't care what he says about me, but what bothers me is that there are loads of people being bullied for the way they look or act," she remarked.

Roberts added that shyness does not equate to being rude or miserable.

Her bandmate Cheryl Cole said she no longer listens to Moyles as a result of his "offensive" comments.

Moyles has since issued an apology of sorts on his breakfast programme, saying: "I have made comments that have seemingly caused you to use bad language against me and for this I apologise."
