Depp to get hitched this summer?

Johnny Depp is to marry long-term love Vanessa Paradis this summer, it has been claimed.

MSNBC reports that the actor, who has previously stated that he felt no need to formalise the couple's relationship with marriage, is alleged to have told Paradis that he will marry her if that is her wish.

A source is said to have told MSNBC: "Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much and he said if that's what would make her happy, then he'd marry her."

Depp has been with Paradis for ten years and they have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and six-year-old Jack, together.

The actor married and then divorced makeup artist Lori Anne Allison in the 1980s and went on to have a string of highly-publicised relationships with Winona Ryder, Jennifer Grey and, perhaps most famously, Kate Moss.

He is best known for his portrayal of slightly odd characters such as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, Willy Wonka in the recent remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Ichabod Crane in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

It is claimed that the wedding could take place in Georgia in June, reports MSNBC.
