Cowell cowers from marriage

Simon Cowell is a notoriously harsh judge, as millions of people have witnessed on the hit television show X Factor.

However, it appears that he is also harsh when it comes to his private life.

Cowell has claimed that he does not believe in marriage and that there are no plans for a wedding with his long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour, the Daily Mail has reported.

The reason behind what could be perceived as cold-heartedness is that getting married in the entertainment industry is scary and unrealistic, according to the newpaper.

Fearing that his girlfriend of five years would "do a Heather Mills on him", Cowell claimed that some women are gold diggers.

"The truth is that you get married and in a year or two they clean you out! It's just not going to work," he told the publication, adding that divorces are a "nasty" process.

Everybody knows that many celebrity marriages do not last forever, giving some reason to shy away from the nuptials.

Brad Pitt told Esquire that there would be no wedding bells for him and Angelina Jolie until everyone in the US is legally able to do so.
