Concern mounts for Katona after This Morning interview
Kerry Katona's publicist Max Clifford has said he is concerned about her wellbeing after a rather shocking appearance on ITV's This Morning programme. The former singer and current face of Iceland took to the sofa with Phil and Fern, who soon began to make enquiries as to her state of mind as she seemed to slur her way through the discussion.
Tactfully, Schofield said: "You don't seem right to me Your speech is a bit slurred. Are you ok?"
Katona seemed surprised by the question and said if she sounded odd, it was because of the prescription medication she takes at night.
However, viewers were shocked about her incoherent responses and many called it "car-crash television".
In an interview with Radio 1's Newsbeat, Max Clifford said he was worried about Katona's health and happiness and that if it had been down to him, she would not have appeared on the programme.
He added that he did not know "what possessed her" to do her recent photoshoot for lad's magazine Zoo, in which she showed off her post-surgery body.
Katona recently underwent a £15,000 surgical makeover, which included liposuction and a breast reduction and which is believed to have been paid for and filmed by MTV as part of a new reality TV series.
