After the Pob comes the Poxie

Hairdressers around the country may want to have their scissors at the ready - Victoria Beckham has unveiled another new hairdo.

Hot on the heels of last year's Pob - Posh bob - the new do is an elegant pixie crop which has already been dubbed the 'Poxie' - or short Beck and sides - by press around the world.

Victoria showed off her newly short hair at New York Fashion Week, where she also launched her new collection of dresses.

She describes the range as suitable for all ages, citing classic role models such as Helen Mirren as particularly suited to their shape.

La Beckham also spoke about how the move into fashion reflects a lifelong ambition which she was unable to pursue during her time as a singer.

"I was never going to be the world's best singer, but I hope I can be a good designer," she remarked.

The dresses will launch in February, with each piece being a limited edition. They will cost from £650 to £1,900.

Posh is renowned for continually changing her image - she cropped her dark bob in the late 90s following her engagement to David, dying it blonde the following year.

A move to Madrid also saw her try long, dark curls, while heading to LA saw the advent of the Pob and her becoming a fashion icon for women worldwide.
