A Carey nice honeymoon home for singer

Pop diva Mariah Carey is reported to have splashed out on a £2.5 million holiday home so that she and her husband can enjoy a second honeymoon when they both get some free time.

The singer is believed to have purchased the property in the West Indies and is now looking for another one, sources claim.

Carey married rapper Nick Cannon in secret earlier this year after they met on the set of one of her music videos.

Although they did find time for a real honeymoon after the wedding, Carey seems to have enjoyed it so much, she wants another one in the five-bedroom property, which also has a Jacuzzi.

The unnamed source said: "Mariah's just bought her and Nick an amazing hideaway for them to escape to. She's also eyeing up another getaway in Monte Carlo as she loves chilling out there.

"Mariah has been busy in the studio, while Nick has been filming for his TV series. As soon as the pair get some free time, they will be jetting out to their new pad to make up for lost time."

In April 2008, Carey reached number one in the US Billboard chart for the 18th time in her career with her single Touch My Body.

The news meant that she had beaten the previous record set by rock and roll legend Elvis Presley, who hit the number one spot 17 times.
