Tips to avoid clingy tights

Clingy tights

Most people would agree that laddering is the most annoying thing that can happen while wearing a pair of tights, but it is not the only peril that the hosiery provides.

Another nuisance, as winter arrives, is the clinging of skirts and pants to tights due to the static in the air. According to the Detroit Free Press, the danger of static increases in the colder months as the air can become drier.

So what can a woman do to free themselves from bunched-up skirts and clingy trousers? The newspaper offered a range of tips to beat the static menace.

Some of the more obvious advice included the use of anti-static sprays on pants and skirts or rubbing a dryer sheet against the fabric. However, some ingenious methods include the attachment of a small safety pin to the inside of the skirt or using vinegar as a fabric softener.

Another tip is to use a lotion on legs after bathing or showering - or apply it directly to the tights. Tightsplease.co.uk offers a range of products that can help take care of the skin, such as St Tropez' moisturer and exfoliant or Sunspa's seaweed and aloe vera body lotion.
