The Hendricks effect

Hendricks effect

The fashion world’s latest gathering of the beautiful people took place in London this week, in the plush surroundings of the Savoy Hotel, with the 15th annual Elle Style Awards.

Without doubt the most important people in the world were in attendance, for there were models, actresses and designers aplenty, all competing for the one award not handed out during the evening, that of the most photographed celebrity.

Having studied pictures of the attendees in forensic detail, for my money, there is one who quite simply was head and shoulders above the rest. She is someone that most men find hard to resist, an actress with a figure to die for and style to spare.

She is the exquisite Christina Hendricks.

As far as the awards themselves are concerned, they were hosted by Alexa Chung and had big name winners that represent the very pinnacle of stylistic achievement.

To summarise: Sarah Burton took home the International Designer of the Year award whilst the Style Icon award went to supermodel Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley.

Otherwise, Contemporary Brand of the Year was picked up by Acne, Best Model by Isabeli Fontana, and the Accessory Designer of the Year and British Designer of the Year awards were given to Nicholas Kirkwood and Jonathan Saunders respectively.

However, it was Christina that undoubtedly stole the show.
