Love is the drug Bryan’s thinking off

Ego massage aside, most men would baulk at the thought of marrying someone 40 years their junior, never mind someone who was at one stage was your son’s girlfriend.

But in the showbiz world such considerations are considered minor and odd bedfellows abound.

Exemplifying this point, the ever stylish Bryan Ferry – the 66-year-old singer, songwriter, has married 29-year-old PR girl, Amanda Sheppard, at the luxurious Amanyara resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Guests at the low-key ceremony are said to have included Bryan’s sons Otis, Isaac, Tara, and Merlin.

Isaac is the son who once dated the new Mrs Ferry and his response to his dad’s marriage can only be imagined at this stage.

Ferry was previously married to a Lucy Helmore for 21 years following a high-profile liaison with Jerry Hall. Hall then dumped Ferry for Mick Jagger.

Having divorced Helmore in 2003, Ferry took Amanda as his girlfriend in 2009 and has now made her his wife. Ferry said: “I’m very happy now. You never meet people your own age who aren’t married – unless they are divorcees knocking about, that sort of thing.”

May people would be forgiven for wondering what she sees in multi-millionaire, Ferry.
